Help-Desk Engineer


IN RESPONSE TO OUR EXPANSION NEEDS we are looking for a help–desk engineer to join our IT Service team.

In this role

As a Help-Desk Engineer, you will be part of our IT Service team to help troubleshoot problems in our network of more than 200 workstations. You will work on:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance over the ticketing system
  • Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Replace parts as required
  • Ensure protection of computer facilities (organize and maintain safety of access security control and virus protection)
  • Support the roll-out of new IT devices and applications
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Implement upgrade, extension, and renewal facilities

About your profile

You hold an IT certificate or other equivalent diploma and have at least 2 years of experience on:

  • Basic User & Group Active Directory;
  • Knowledge of desktop operating system: Linux, Windows desktop and Mac OS;
  • Good problem solving, analytical and evaluative skills;
  • Self-study and self-learning on new technology and willing to improve on technical skills;
  • Having experience with database (i.e. SQL, Oracle) would be a plus.
  • Good reading skills in English are essential for the job
